Village Candles
Why only the case of Jessica Lal foregrounds? Was she the only woman to be killed that way?

I wonder why only the case of Jessica Lal is traded. I feel compassion for other women somewhere in a remote village, or even in meters, dies in worse shape than that of Jessica and nobody, not a human right Orgn. is there to even take note of them, or page three people are there to candles for them. Are not human? No death deserves to be treated like Jessica? Do we have different measures for the death of cartography is too much? Just because they had no contacts with P3 or not people always wore skirts or pubs visited or high profile contacts, life should not be treated as if anything? I guess life is life, whether of a beggar or king. Please tell me why this discrimination exists today called highly educated and elite society?

U are right to mention the VIP treatment, attention to cases of Jessica. But you can turn this argument upside down. Why not? The fact that she appeared on the page 3 and was a model and lead a glamorous life, do you think his murder is a crime less than murder of a Dalit woman in a village? U do not think they are saying u is also discrimination against people more successful? The discriminaiton exists at all levels and in all types of thinking. Its just that in their own patterns of thought we think that our thinking is the right and the other is wrong. Discrimination exists in all societies and critisicing instead of what is done in the case of Jessica must see the good side of the whole episode. Its the first time police have taken to task. They have been stripped by the media and the world has seen how the police handles cases of powerful people. Your first time the people of our country, united by a good cause. One should expect more episodes like this will make things a little better. The celebrity status of Jesica is also half of what was built, was hardly a successful model or a real page 3 of personality type that is made. U seems to have Againt bias short skirts and pubs, but I fear that this has to do with this crime notes heineous in a club shooting a person in OT Fornt so many people. His thought like this, which leads to rot in the system contenious. I think U would have been happier if these criminals jessiaca wud have left because he was a page 3 girl. Do u saying no action should be taken against a criminal in the case of Jessica, until that action is taken equal every homicide case Againt n the country. That's a defeatist thinking!

Sally and Jeremy Latimer are pleased, if somewhat puzzled, when two gentlemen with decidedly old-world manners choose to befriend them when their car mysteriously breaks down in the small French village of St. Denissur-Aisne while on holiday one fine day in 1953.What they don’t know is that the two men, James and Charles Latimer, are ancestors of theirs. The two shuffled off this mortal coil some 80 years earlier when, emboldened by strong drink and with only a pet monkey and an aged waiter as allies, the two made a valiant, foolish and quite fatal attempt to halt a German advance during the Franco-Prussian War of 1870.Now, these two ectoplasmic gentlemen and their spectral pet monkey Ulysses have been summoned from their final resting place in an unmarked grave because their visiting relatives are in serious trouble. But before they can solve the younger Latimers’ problems, the three benevolent spirits light brief candles of insanity for a tipsy policeman, a recalcitrant banker, a convocation of English ghost-busters, and a card-playing rogue who’s wanted for murder.

Sometimes the simplest of ideas create the most memorable moments. All it takes is a little inspiration. Everything — and everyone — looks better by candlelight, and no artificial light can match the enveloping warmth of candles. The simple act of sharing a meal while watching candlelight flicker in the eyes of those we care about is one of life’s purest pleasures, while the almost magical power of fire is evidenced in the way we call sweethearts "flames" and ritually light candles to welcome the sacred at Hanukkah and Advent. Whether you choose dozens of stubby votives, two shapely hurricanes or a landscape of hand-rolled beeswax cylinders, candle soothe our eyes and minds, welcome guests and strike the mood. Filled with innovative ideas and inspiring full-color photos, Candles  offers a wealth of ways to use candles in settings both simple and grand, classical and contemporary. It reveals the infinite variety of candle sizes, colors, scents and shapes available today and provides dozens of creative suggestions for personalizing and enhancing this integral element of a captivating table. When the candles have dimmed, the guestssatisfied and the napkins tossed back on the table, some settings demand to be lingered at. Everyone who entertains knows that setting a lovely table sets the stage for memorable dining and is every bit as important as what is served. That’s why the Elements of the Table  series explores the magic that can be created with the basic components of the table: candles, linens, centerpieces, china, glassware and silver. Candles lights the way, offering elegant inspiration for bringing the gentle, celebratory intimacy of candles to your table at romantic dinners for two, festive parties, spontaneous gatherings of friends or anytime you want to create an unforgettable occasion.
