Candle making … help someone!?
Hello everyone. I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I have decided to open my own candle and have decided to take make my own candles. Does anyone know how best to use wax (paraffin, soy ….) to make votive and pillar candles. Also, does anyone know of a good distributor in Canada? Thanks for all your help. Any additional information you think can help me with this process, let me know. Candles anyone? haha
Hello. My main reason for writing is to congratulate him on his decision to open a shop selling candles, but also see that fun is not so much when you have to do plenty of them. decide what your desire is and what is its goal. Want to make candles, selling be secondary. Want to sell or making candles with only secondary. This is important because when your business grows you will have to subcontract or hire someone to do well selling, while you do the kitchen … or someone to do the kitchen while you are out of sale. I say this because I've done both. I used to make gel candles to sell at craft fairs and friends … only solo, not part of any network. I did well with it, but Pete O Jeez, I ran for fun long before I ran out of candles that had to do. Once which became a task, I took a good look around my kitchen and in boogars gel and wax bopplets I arranged for all over the place and had to take stock of what was really my desire. I loved the part creativity. I loved that people ohh and ahh over something I did. I wanted to make some money. It was not long befor I came to the conclusion that nobody wanted to pay for my time. People who want to buy a candle not necessarily want to pay for an original, one of a kind, work of art. Harrumph! I decided to make me happy I have to change my plan. I no longer make candles to sell. I make candles for fun. I sell candles are candles that other people do. 
There are many sailing distribution companies that offer good reputation with varying degrees of investment of time and money …. I am very happily a representative of one of them . There are probably a number of people who will come after me and try to launch distribution and get them to join their team. Note that I did not do that. Get support for this.
